Measuring 1000 V signals highly precisely and extremely rapidly

HBM presents a new 1 kV data acquisition card for the Genesis HighSpeed measurement systems. Particular attention was paid during development to the electrical isolation of the individual input channels so that measurements in the measurement categories CAT II 600 VRMS and CAT III 300 VRMS can be implemented in compliance with the safety standard IEC 61010-1.

The user can therefore carry out even demanding measurement tasks with a high level of safety.

The 1 kV card offers six input channels which can be recorded in parallel with a sampling rate of up to 2 MS/s. It is now possible for the first time to measure voltages of both ±20 mV and ±1000 V with just one data acquisition card. The measurement accuracy of 0.1% is significantly higher than in standard solutions with sensor heads.

The new 1 kV card with the performance characteristics described here is suitable for applications in power engineering, power electronics, electric motors and generators.
