Metallux celebrates 25-years company anniversary

Korb, Germany, 2011-09-07. Metallux started 25 years ago as a trading company for electronic components. Arnulf Oberascher together with his son Andreas launched in March 1998 Prohmeta GmbH. Prohmeta developed and produced electronic components in the fields of sensor- and resistor technology. In January 2002 Metallux GmbH and Prohmeta GmbH were consolidated into the Metallux AG. Arnulf Oberascher took over as chairman of the board with Andreas Oberascher as CEO and in 2005 Andreas Karaus was appointed as CTO and head of development. Metallux was one of the first companies to introduce certification according to DIN ISO 16949.

Continuous extensions of the product range and innovative solutions characterize the company. A team orientated leadership based on partnership and engaged and committed employees ensure a steady increase in turnover and employment.

Metallux has a multitude of patents ranging from membrane sensors to stainless steel pressure sensors many of them in cooperation with partners leading to perfect solutions for satisfied customers.

True to its roots

The products are manufactured mostly in Germany at their headquarters in Korb. Expansive substantive growth took place over the last few years: facilities in the USA and China are continuously expanded. Numerous representatives within the whole of Europe are reliable partners.

Apart from the development of the company, management also engages themselves in youth development especially in the field of sports like the youth department of VfB Stuttgart Football Club. The physical and social handicapped are also not forgotten. Furthermore, projects on the African continent are supported as well.

Arnulf Oberascher

Born in 1941, Arnulf Oberascher started his career as a Technician and Sales-Engineer. Contelec Germany was build-up under his leadership. He founded the then named Metallux GmbH at the age of 45.

Andreas Oberascher joined early the family business. He has been with the company now for 23 years. Together with his father he started Prohmeta GmbH, which later merged into Metallux AG. Right from the start he took the position as CEO and was instrumental in the successful set-up of the production departments. On a daily basis he and his team challenge new tasks and duties. His vast experience and team-oriented management style together with his intimate knowledge of all aspects in the various departments’ stands him in good stead.
