Miniature Accelerometer for Modal Analysis Testing, 3305A Series
Chatsworth, CA – December 7, 2010 – Dytran Instruments, Inc. is pleased to release a new accelerometer series designed for use in modal analysis applications. The Dytran 3305A series consists of three accelerometers, offered in sensitivities of 10 mV/g, 100 mV/g, and 500 mV/g. The 3305A series are IEPE-type piezoelectric accelerometers, and they include a ceramic shear sensing element coupled to ultra low-noise JFET electronics.
Featuring an adhesive mount and industry standard 10-32 radial connector, the 3305A are hermetically sealed for reliable operation in high-humidity and dirty environments. The 3305A series are designed in a 0.40 inch cubic housing, and weigh just 3.7 grams. Contributing to the lightweight of the sensor is its robust, laser welded titanium housing, which ensures durability even when undergoing vibration testing in demanding environments such as Noise Vibration and Harshness (NVH) and hand-arm and whole body vibration monitoring.
The 3305A series is similar to Dytran’s 3097A series of accelerometers. The 3097A features a 5-40 stud mount, while the 3305A has a flat surface for adhesive mounting.
