Modern machine monitoring through vibration measurement

In machine operation, the occurrence of unwanted vibrations can hardly be avoided. The triggers are usually mechanical imbalance, misalignment of components or material wear. Under certain circumstances, this can lead to expensive downtime. In any case, precise measurement and analysis of the vibrations is required in order to detect faults at an early stage.

The new FSA 084-xx sensors from Ahlborn measure vibration acceleration, vibration velocity and vibration displacement. They can be used in numerous fields of application, for example to measure:

• Bearing vibrations
• Vibrations in defined frequency bands 
• Smooth running of rotating machines and reciprocating machines

The vibration in the axial direction of the sensors is measured in a defined frequency band. These can be connected to ALMEMO® measuring devices with intelligent ALMEMO® connectors for measured value acquisition and evaluation. The vibration sensors are suitable for use in harsh environmental conditions and comply with the specifications for vibration severity measuring devices in accordance with ISO 2954.
