MP85A process controllers utilize EPLAN Electric P8 macros for improved quality control
HBM has now integrated EPLAN macros with its MP85A series of process controllers making it easier to seamlessly integrate in machinery and plant-engineering automation systems.
MP85A series process controllers from HBM are used for quality monitoring in industrial production systems in tasks such as monitoring press-fit/fitting processes or checking switches.
The controller indicates and documents whether the manufactured part is “OK” or “not OK”. Fast error logging enables product quality to be improved and makes it possible to respond early to problems, before any faulty products are produced.
EPLAN Electric P8 is a database-assisted engineering tool that is widely used in modern CAE software; users benefit from integrated planning, documentation and management of their automation systems.
Using macros makes it easy for users to include MP85A process controllers in their planning. Once the macros have been imported, parts data, drawings and pin assignments are immediately available in EPLAN Electric P8.
In addition to ensuring engineering continuity, EPLAN Electric P8 continues to focus on designing in the minimum time - with graphics and object orientation, variant technology and automatic standards transfer.
In future the EPLAN macros will be supplied free of charge on the MP85A documentation CD with every purchase of the process controllers.
Alternatively, the macros can be downloaded from www.hbm.com/en/menu/support/software-firmware-downloads/industrial-amplifiers/.
