Mounting sensors without tools

Balluff: The sensor specialist and industrial networking provider Balluff is offering a new generation of clamp mountings. Users will be delighted to learn that tools are no longer needed for mounting or exchange of M12, M18 and M30 sensors.

Handling is easy. Once the sensor has been inserted, all the user has to do is manually tighten a knurled nut to fix the sensor firmly in posi-tion with the patent-pending clamping system. In special ambient con-ditions, the knurled nuts can be further tightened using an open-end wrench. The new clamp mountings have no plastic parts, making them suitable for high-temperature applications of up to 500 °C.
