New link modules for configurable control systems PNOZmulti 2 from Pilz - Safe connection, safe communication
New link modules for decentralisation and for safe communication between multiple base units are now available for the configurable control systems PNOZmulti 2 from Pilz. With the PDP link module (Pilz Decentralised Periphery) and the Multi link module it is now possible to implement interlinked, decentralised plants or even ring or tree topologies. Both link modules can be configured quickly and simply using the software tool PNOZmulti Configurator, saving time during the planning and design process.
Decentralised modules PDP67 can easily be connected to the PDP link module: as a result, the new link module can be used to communicate signals from the connected sensors directly from the field to the base units. This enables even interlinked, decentralised plants to be implemented using the configurable control system PNOZmulti 2.
Flexible data exchange
The new Multi link module guarantees safe, simple data exchange between multiple base units. The modular design of the PNOZmulti 2 enables up to 4 link modules to be connected to the base unit. Ring or even tree topologies can now be set up flexibly with PNOZmulti 2. It is also possible to perform selective shutdowns or to commission individual plant sections. Safety functions on complex plant and machinery can be implemented if multiple PNOZmulti 2 units are used.
