New operating and monitoring product range PMI 6 Control from Pilz - Visualisation and control in one package
With its new product range PMI (Pilz Machine Interface) 6 Control, the automation company Pilz is introducing its first operator terminal to be equipped with a soft PLC in accordance with IEC 61131-3 as standard. This terminal goes beyond professional diagnostics and visualisation, making it possible to control the entire plant process in just one unit. So PMI 6 Control not only offers comprehensive diagnostics but also helps to increase the productivity of the "plant in view".
Operator terminals PMI 6 Control are based on a high-performance processor module with 1.3 GHz. Together with a 512 MB RAM, 512 MB Flash memory capacity and the operating system Windows Embedded Compact 7, the result is a high performance platform for all applications.
Faster diagnostics and visualisation of plant and machinery is possible in conjunction with Pilz control technology. Downtimes can be minimised as a result.
Intuition and openness lead the way
The new PMI 6 Control generation also has a capacitive 7 inch glass touchscreen. Alternatively a 12 inch version is also available. Operation is intuitive and therefore fast and simple. This guarantees high productivity for the plant and machinery.
The operator terminals come pre-equipped with user-friendly visualisation. What's more, thanks to open interfaces, any common HMI visualisation software can be used. Software packages are easy to install with the help of the PMI Assistant, which is an integral part of the supplied SD card and can simply be called up when required. This minimises the work required during commissioning.
Plain text is quicker
The diagnostic concept PVIS from Pilz comes pre-installed on the product range PMI 6 Control: Where plants are equipped with PMI operator terminals and safety control systems from Pilz, it makes for easier troubleshooting when the machine malfunctions. Error messages are displayed in plain text; messages are accompanied by positive suggestions for how to rectify the problem. The user is guided to the solution step by step, so troubleshooting need not be time-consuming.
