New standards in sensor technology for hydrogen applications
In a world that is increasingly aware of the need for sustainable and clean energy solutions, hydrogen technology plays a central role. Barksdale is at the forefront of this transformation, developing innovative products that make the monitoring and control of hydrogen applications safer and more efficient.
The hydrogen pressure transmitters of the BHyT-BiT and BHyT-BoT series offer two product lines that address challenges related to permeation, material embrittlement, material compatibility, and safety.
While the BHyT-BiT series can be used at pressures up to 1400 bar, for example in hydrogen compressors and refueling stations, and features UL, ATEX, and IECEx approvals, the BHyT-BoT pressure transmitters are suitable for pressures up to 700 bar, for example in mobile or stationary fuel cells. The operating temperatures for both lines range from -40°C to +100°C. Depending on the process condition, a monolithic sensor (seal-free technology) or a gold-coated piezoresistive sensor can be used.
