Parameter Setting of Industrial Charge Amplifiers and Transmitters Made Easier with ManuWare
The latest generation of Kistler transmitters (press force transmitter Type 9337A... and strain transmitter Type 9238A...) is equipped with a serial computer interface as standard. They can be fully parameterized quickly and easily using the PC program ManuWare. The proven industrial charge amplifier ICAM Type 5073A... is also supported by ManuWare.
After connection to the PC, ManuWare recognizes sensors or charge amplifiers using an AutoScan function and lists them in the program. The status of recognized devices is shown at a glance. Instrument groups can be structured as one single project. Parameter configuration is performed intuitively through device-specific dialogs. A graphical display of the test measurements and auxiliary functions for scaling indirect measurement help the user set up force measurement applications. The number of simultaneously supported measuring channels is only limited by the power of the computer being used.
The settings of the fully configured devices can be saved on the PC. The resultant back-up files make it easy to provide replacement instruments or measuring chains with identical parameter configurations for similar applications. The range of instruments supported by ManuWare is growing all the time. In addition to the free basic software package, various expansion modules for measurement and analysis are planned.
