PI (Physik Instrumente) founds another subsidiary: ALT becomes PI Benelux

19 January 2016

PI (Physik Instrumente) has acquired the majority holding in the Dutch company Applied Laser Technology (ALT) with objective of increasing the market share in the high-tech industries in the Benelux countries.

Since its foundation over 30 years ago, ALT has been a retailer for precision positioning systems from PI. "During this time, we achieved a successful and trustworthy working environment", comments Dr. Karl Spanner, President of the PI Group. "The work ethics and company management of Dick Moerman and Erik Keune have made ALT what it is today," continues Dr. Spanner.

Dick Moerman is looking forward to continuing cooperation as a subsidiary of PI: "The transition from ALT to PI Benelux will contribute to continual and healthy growth of the company and we shall also continue to provide the best service to our customers in the Netherlands, Belgium, and Luxembourg for everything related to state-of-the-art products."

Together with Dick Moerman, Markus Spanner, Managing Director Finance & Controlling of the PI Group, was also appointed as managing director. Erik Keune takes over the function of Key Account Manager.
