Piezoresistive steel-pressure sensors allow a wide pressure range of up to 1.000 bar

A new generation of stainless-steel piezoresistive pressure sensors has been introduced by Metallux AG as series SPS 3000/3001. Next to the classical monolithic standard type, these sensors offer a process-connection which is directly integrated with the sensor. The o-ring, due to this direct connection, falls away. The pressure range is therefore increased. A pressure range of up to 1000 bar with a high burst pressure is possible. This makes it possible for use in numerous applications as for example in refrigeration engineering, hydraulics, automation technology and machine construction.
