Ostfildern, Nov 22, 2011. Pilz GmbH & Co. KG: At the SPS/IPC/DRIVES 2011 exhibition in Nuremberg, Pilz is introducing its new brand presence to the public for the first time. With new advertising images and a new image the company is underlining its claim as a solution supplier for industrial automation.

Most striking change: Pilz's trademark, the yellow arrow, has been expanded three-dimensionally and dynamically into a yellow band that stretches through all printed and digital media. It envelops, connects or combines the components, systems and services that Pilz currently offers. The presence with a new colour and photo concept works with reduced, cool colours in a blue-grey colour scheme.

The new brand presence symbolises the fourfold safety in automation that Pilz offers its customers: Technical, personal, environmental and economic. Technical safety because the safety of machinery and systems is always part of the products and solutions from Pilz. Personal safety because customers can rely on a professional consultation and individual processing. The environmental dimension stands for energy-efficient products and environmentally friendly applications because the implementation of environmentally sound applications always has top priority. And finally, the economic dimension contains efficient production cycles and the investment security of system solutions from Pilz. The company is hereby expanding the term safety beyond the purely technical.

"Automatically correct" is the guiding communication principle behind the new brand concept. "When a company is looking around for a solution for its automation tasks, it always makes the right decision with Pilz – whether it needs a safe solution or not", is how Horst-Dieter Kraus, Head of Marketing Communications at Pilz, explains the idea behind the new brand presence.

The automation company has developed into one of the strong brands in the industry thanks to its innovative products. Around the world, Pilz is currently considered the synonym for safety in industrial automation: Pilz = yellow = safety. Pilz is now one of the leading brands in Germany, with an entry in "Deutsche Standards – Brands of the Century", the standard work in German brand history.
