Press Force Sensor Type 9393A… for 0 … 700 kN
Kistler: The new press force sensor Type 9393A… extends the successful Press Force series of sensors to a measuring range of up to 700 kN. This piezoelectric force sensor is recommended for measuring not only dynamic but also quasistatic forces. It is supplied as a preloaded and standard calibrated unit. The measuring range are 0 … 700 kN, 0 … 70 kN and 0 … 7 kN. Calibration by the Swiss Calibration Service (SCS) is available as an option. Use of the lower measuring range avoids the need for expensive protection measures at an overload factor of up to 100.
The sensor with a diameter of 145 mm and height of 190 mm has flange connections on both ends, which provide great flexibility for easy mechanical interfacing of the sensor with the machine envi-ronment. The included centering rings make axial adjustment easier. The symmetrical shape of the press force sensor makes it ideal for mounting in connecting rods or the installation on the press plunger. A wide variety of accessories allow more extensive mechanical adaptation.
The approximately constant measuring accuracy of the piezoelectric element over an extensive load range allows one sensor to be used for a wide spectrum of forces. The measuring range switching of, for example, the charge amplifier ICAM Type 5073A... bolsters this advantage while allowing the sensor to accommodate the trend towards production and measuring stations handling a greater variety of parts.
The press force sensors come in six sizes with various dimensions and seven measuring ranges. The series now extends from the Type 9323AA… with a measuring range of 0 … 100 N to the Type 9393A… offering 0 … 700 kN.
