PROFINET Interface Module for Torque Transducers Ensures Flexibility in the Test Bench

The TIM-PROFINET interface module from HBM Test and Measurement (HBM) is particularly fast and ideal for highly dynamic applications due to its bus cycle time of 4 kHz. It integrates torque and rotational speed measurements with fieldbus-based automation and control systems of test benches used for electric motors and combustion engines, gears, pumps and compressors.

Besides HBM torque transducers with a TMC (Torque Measurement Communication) digital output signal such as the T40 series, torque sensors with a classic frequency signal for torque and rotational speed can be easily and conveniently integrated with PROFINET networks. This reduces module variance and increases flexibility in the test bench.
