Robust Laser Sensor with IO-Link
Versatile laser sensor reliably detects 1 mm distance changes on difficult black or shiny targets
Mülheim, October 20, 2015 – Turck introduced a rugged, versatile laser sensor designed for difficult distance-based applications over a range of 25-300 mm. The new Q4X, developed by Turck's optic partner Banner Engineering, reliably detects distance changes as small as 1 mm on such challenging targets as black objects on black backgrounds or reflective items. High excess gain and a 64-element imager combine to minimize errors in detection, counting and validating orientation. Its versatility allows OEMs or end users to reduce inventory of different sensor types. Comprehensive menus are easy to navigate.
An angled four-digit, seven-segment LED display with convenient push-buttons allows intuitive setup and easy viewing. A bright output indicator provides high visibility of operation. Bipolar (PNP and NPN) outputs integrate the sensor with PLC or other control units. Alternatively the sensors IO-Link-interface features easy parameterization and diagnostics.
Its stainless steel housing is rated IP67, IP68, IP69K and is Ecolab certified. Robust construction withstands impact, vibration, over-tightening and aggressive cleaning.
