RSP-500 series: ultra-efficient power supply from Mean Well Efficiency and flexibility have never been more compact

PEWATRON has launched the new Mean Well RSP-500 series of enclosed low-profile power supplies. Thanks to a significantly reduced length, the RSP-500 series is 22.1 % smaller and up to 8 % more efficient than the original SP-480 series and offers an even wider operating temperature range of -30°C to +70°C. The RSP series covers a full range of wattages including 75 W, 100 W, 150 W, 200 W, 320 W, 500 W and 750 W. With its low 1U profile (40.5 mm), the RSP-500 series is the ultimate solution for end users who are looking for efficient power supplies with a low profile.

Featuring a universal input range of 85 VAC to 264 VAC, the RSP-500 series supplies single voltage levels from 3.3 V to 48 V as required. Equipped with a PFC function and boasting up to 90.5 % efficiency, they can be cooled by the built-in, long-life DC fan in ambient temperatures ranging from -30°C to +50 °C under full load conditions, or even up to +70 °C at less than full power. Other built-in functions include remote sense, remote ON/OFF control and fan speed control, as well as comprehensive short-circuit, overload, overvoltage and over-temperature protection. The entire series complies with UL, CUL, TUV, CB, and CE regulations for maximum safety. Applications include general industrial control systems, mechanical and electrical industry uses, instruments, LED displays and all systems requiring low-profile installations.
