Small, fast and very clever – the new LSIS 220 code reader

Leuze electronic: The LSIS 220 compact series reads 1D-codes, stacked codes and 2D-codes – omnidirectional, both during standstill and in motion. And it also offers increased performance reserves.

In order to enable code reading during fast motion, the successor of the LSIS 120 has been significantly revised. The resolution of the camera chip is now optimized for typical applications, as the analysis of a very large quantity of data would take too much time. Optics and illumination have been improved to make sure codes are in sharp focus even at the edges and to illuminate the field of view homogeneously. At the same time, a high depth of field is achieved.

The LSIS 220 in its robust metal housing with M12 connector and glass window is designed for industrial use (IP 65), and features a switching input and output and LED display. A trigger button is included for the manual activation and configuration. Extensive accessories, metric threads in the housing and its very small size enable fast integration even under difficult installation conditions. The code reader is available with RS 232 or USB interface.

Typical areas of application are e.g. in handling and in testing systems, reading in robotic systems or for tracking.
