Successful „Rosetta“ mission with Baumer expertise and high-tech components aboard

Sensor expert Baumer made a contribution to the successful space mission „Rosetta“ by bringing in their expertise and specialized components. Baumer tackled the extremely specific conditions with likewise specific solutions to meet the extremely demanding requirements of the European Space Agency.

Ever since the launch in 2004, Rosetta had been carrying Baumer components integrated in the Philae landing probe. In close cooperation with the Max Planck Institute for Aeronomy, Baumer was responsible for manufacture and qualification of the centerpieces deployed in the spectrometers to determine the gas cloud composition of comet Tschurjumow-Gerasimenko“.
