Switch Amplifiers with Wide-Range Supply
Supply with 19 V DC to 30 V DC or 90 V AC to 253 V AC, use in intrinsically safe applications, and functional safety up to SIL 2—this is what makes Pepperl+Fuchs' new switch amplifier family stand out.
With this functionality, a single device can be used at different supply voltages. This frequently applies to a variety of applications including in mechanical engineering and devices installed in a field box. Consequently, there are fewer components in stock, in catalogs, in planning, and in the tool box for field service engineers.
The switch amplifiers transfer discrete signals from NAMUR sensors or mechanical contacts in the hazardous area to the safe area. A proximity sensor or switch controls the load on the control side via a changeover relay contact. The direction of effect can be reversed. All modules feature line fault detection. In a fault state, the relays deactivate and the fault is indicated by LEDs in accordance with NAMUR NE44. The devices are designed for use in environments from -40 °C … +60 °C and have all important international approvals such as ATEX, IECEx, and UL. In addition, the products are certified by TÜV Rheinland for applications up to SIL 2 Edition 2 according to IEC 61508 / IEC 61511.
The devices are available as 1- and 2-channel versions; the 1-channel version is available with an optional additional fault relay contact output.
