Switching Adapter Type 7533A...
Kistler offers a multitude of cooling and switching adapters for accurate measurement of absolute pressure in the exhaust system of combustion engines.
Sensors installed in cooling adapters are constantly exposed to the exhaust gases, while sensors in switching adapters only come into contact with the exhaust gases during the measuring periods. When the switching adapter is not activated the diaphragm is exposed to ambient pressure. This increases the life of the sensors, particularly in combustion engines with high exhaust temperatures and high pressure fluctuations. The new switching adapter Type 7533A... has a M14x1,25 thread for connection to the exhaust system.
In order to be able to use existing bores, the adapters 7543A1 (G1/2”) and 7543A2 (M18x1,5/thread lambda probe) are available. Various models of the switching adapter are available for the sensors Type 4045A... and Type 4075A... .
