The DCR 200i camera-based code reader for quick and easy code reading of 1D- and 2D-codes wins the third place of the inspect award 2017 in the Automation category.
Owen, November 9, 2016 - The new DCR 200i camera-based code reader from Leuze electronic has been nominated for the inspect award 2017 in the Automation category, which is presented for the first time this year, by an independent jury of industry experts and specialist journalists of the Wiley-VCH publishing house. In the subsequent readers' poll, the DCR 200i won the third place. The DCR 200i code reader was developed for the fast reading of 1D- and 2D-codes specifically for systems in the packaging and electronics industries to ensure gapless product traceability. Due to its high reading performance with a speed of up to 6 m/s and a comfortable configuration directly at the device via a smartphone app, the DCR 200i combines easy handling with reliable decoding even during demanding reading tasks. The compact DCR 200i can be put into service in just three minutes with the help of the configuration wizard. Reading distances from 40 to 360 millimeters are covered thanks to three selectable optics. Depending on requirements, the glass protective screen can simply be replaced with a plastic protective screen, and matching polarization filters and diffusor foils reduce interfering reflections. The product variant with stainless steel housing is a complete solution for the industrial and hygiene-sensitive environment which does not require any separate housing. Integrated in the code reader are the RS 232, RS 422 and Ethernet process interfaces. PROFIBUS, PROFINET and EtherCAT can be connected via the MA 2xxi modular connection unit.
