THN - Digital thermocouple conditioner
Thanks to its experience of sensors dedicated to Embedded Testing, Texys International is happy to launch its digital version Thermocouple Amplifier THN which benefits as well of the associated patent of its Thermocouple amplifier range.
The product itselfs consists of a Miniature female thermocouple connector with embedded digital conditioner. THN will work with any thermocouple probe terminated with a miniature male connector. The embedded conditioner gives optimal cold junction compensation, and delivers a high level output signal, free from noise and interferences. Output signal is fully linear with 0.5° max error. THN allows any thermocouple to be connected to acquisition systems with normal copper leads, no need of the expensive compensated wire and no need of special input module on the system. As THN withstands 120°C as ambient temperature, it may be located near the thermocouple probe. THN provides both analog output signal and serial data to any computer USB port (with the Texense USB cable)
Any Thermocouple junction types are available : K, J, T, …
- The ranges, -50 to 200°C, -100° to +400°C, 0 to 1250° are the standard but any other range may be achieved for improved resolution
- Cold junction compensation from -40°C to +125°C ambient temperature
The THN Thermocouple amplifier is suitable for:
- Automotive testing, Supply voltage: 5 to 16 V or
- Industrial application, Supply voltage 12 to 33V
Accuracy is the advantage of THN Thermocouple Amplifier with following figures :
- Additional error including nonlinearity and hysteresis: 0.5°C
- Offset drift with temperature : < 0.25%
