Ultra Miniature IEPE Accelerometers Weighing 0.2 Grams
Dytran Instruments, Inc. is pleased to introduce a new family of ultra miniature IEPE accelerometers. The 3224A series consists of two accelerometers, models 3224A1 and 3224A2. Weighing only 0.2 grams, they are one of the smallest IEPE accelerometers in the world! Because of their very small weight, these miniature accelerometers successfully reduce mass loading effects. The tiny “tear drop” design of the 3224A series is ideal for vibration measurements in even the smallest locations
The 3224A series is laser welded in a titanium housing which ensures its robust construction and contributes to its lightweight. They are available with a sensitivity of 2 mV/g (3224A2) and 10 mV/g (3224A1) and can operate at temperatures up to 300°F. Features of the 3224A family include integrated electronics (IEPE), an adhesive mount, and a planar shear, quartz design which reduces base strain sensitivity, thermal transient response and thermal coefficient of sensitivity.
These ultra miniature tear drop accelerometers are ideal for the following applications: Environmental Stress Screening, PC board vibration measurements, product response, general purpose vibration where space is at a premium, and mechanical shock.
