Ultra Miniature Triaxial Accelerometer
Chatsworth, CA – November 22, 2010 – Dytran Instruments, Inc. is pleased to announce the release of the 3343A series, which are triaxial IEPE-type accelerometers that weigh just 2.4 grams. The 3343A series was designed for use in modal analysis and Environmental Stress Screening (ESS) applications, as well as other vibration applications where small size and lightweight is essential.
The 3343A series is constructed using an exclusive, Dytran designed 4-pin radial connector. Compared to the industry standard connector (1/4-28 thread size), the connector on the 3343A series is approximately 20% smaller in size. This substantial size difference allows for a more flexible, lighter-weight cable, a smaller diameter for the connector, and also contributes to the smaller size of the sensor itself.
Featuring an adhesive mount and hermetic sealing for reliable operation in high-humidity and dirty environments, the 3343A series are available in sensitivities of 2 mV/g, 5 mV/g and 10 mV/g. Their titanium housing contributes to their lightweight, which allows for minimal mass loading on the test article.
Designed for modal analysis and ESS applications, the 3343A series accelerometers are also ideal for the following applications: general purpose triaxial vibration measurements, shaker control, Squeak & Rattle, and Noise Vibration and Harshness (NVH).
