Vibration Resistant for Presses

Special V-models of the MLC 500 series safety light curtains have been optimized explicitly for applications subject to strong vibrations, such as for safe-guarding presses and punching machines.

Leuze electronic: The MLC 500 series is unusually slim (29 x 35 mm) but very sturdy at the same time due to the slightly set back front screens, reinforced side walls and metal end caps. Furthermore, the new vibration-resistant MLC 500-V models were designed so that the high-quality electronics, in particular, are provided with extra protection. In addition, Leuze electronic developed special BT-2SB10-S swiveling mounting brackets that are largely able to compensate for vibrations in advance – especially with long light curtains (typically longer than 900 mm) with very large protective fields. Shorter light curtains can now also be simply and conveniently mounted on presses and adjusted with the likewise vibration-damped BT-2R1-S swivel mounts.

Thanks to removable swivel mount cylinders, form-fitting mounting is possible, i.e., there is no dead space into which unpermitted access would be possible. With the "Extended" devices of these V-models, the user has access to functions that can be adjusted without a PC, such as three scan modes and fixed and floating blanking. This simplifies and speeds up the infeed of the work pieces and contributes to more efficient production, since the sheet metal plates in the protective field do not result in process interruption.
