Wind power: Safe automation for clean energy
Ostfildern, Mar 23, 2012. With an industry focus on wind energy, at the Hannover Messe Industrie 2012 the automation expert Pilz will be exhibiting solutions to cover all the safety functions on a wind turbine.
With its redundant structure and internal test functions, the configurable control system PNOZmulti meets safety requirements up to Category PL e of EN ISO 13849. On wind turbines it monitors all the safety functions that are important for operational management. In Hannover, Pilz will present its safe speed monitor PNOZ s30, used for speed-relevant safety functions such as monitoring for broken shearpins and monitoring rotor and generator speed. It meets safety requirements up to PL e. Shorter downtimes and reduced maintenance mean that users also benefit economically from these automation solutions. Pilz is exhibiting in Hall 9, Stand D17.
