World’s Smallest Thermopile Sensor in TO-housing

Heimann Sensor introduced this sensor already in 2006. Since 15 years it holds the world record for the smallest thermopile sensor in a TO-housing. The customized µ-TO-housing as a diameter of only 3.55 mm and a total height of 2.35 mm. Due to the metal housing it is perfectly suited for all kind of temperature measurements. The main applications are in-ear thermometer for babies and pets or smartphone attachments, where other sensors would make the thermometer too big.
