Miniature, Lightweight ICP® Accelerometers for Modal and Structural Vibration Analysis
July 28, 2006, Depew, NY, USA – Two new ICP® accelerometers from the Vibration Division of PCB Piezotronics, Inc., feature small, lightweight, titanium housings and are ideally suited for modal and structural vibration analysis and general shock and vibration measurement applications.
Models 352C41 (10 mV/g) and 352C42 (100 mV/g) are each housed in a 3/8 inch hex × 0.38 inch tall titanium housing and weigh just 2.8 grams, with a smooth base designed for adhesive mounting. Shear mode, piezo-ceramic sensing elements provide low-noise operation and accuracy through a frequency range of 0.5 to 10k Hz (± 10%). Built-in microelectronic signal conditioning circuitry offers a low impedance output signal for long distance signal transmission and simple operation. The durable designs operate in –65 to +250 °F (-54 to +121°C) temperatures, and survive accidental shock inputs to 5000 g.
