Complete and simple automation
Ostfildern, Sep 28, 2012. At SPS/IPC/DRIVES 2012 Pilz will be underlining its claim as a solution supplier for complete automation. In Nuremberg the company will be presenting its latest innovations from the fields of sensor, control and actuator technology. The exhibition stand will focus on products, systems and services which can be used to resolve automation tasks in a user-friendly manner.
"Two of the most important tasks in the automation industry are to reduce complexity and ensure safe interaction between man and machine. At SPS/IPC/DRIVES we will be showing co-ordinated solutions, which machine builders and users can employ to implement their challenges economically", explains Renate Pilz, Managing Partner of Pilz GmbH & Co. KG.
Complete portfolio: Sensor, control and actuator technology
Pilz's sensor technology portfolio enables individual solutions for monitoring positions, guards, areas or zones. For example, the new safety bolt PSENbolt combines a mechanical bolt and two safety switches, removing the need for complex, in-house engineering. This solution enables safety gates to be monitored safely up to the highest category PL e of EN/ISO 13849-1.
At this year's exhibition Pilz will be introducing Nuremberg's industry experts to the new PNOZ mB0, the next generation of configurable control systems – exactly 10 years after the launch of the first PNOZmulti at SPS/IPC/DRIVES 2002. Then as now, user friendliness is a key product feature: compact dimensions, 20 safe inputs, up to eight of which can be configured as standard outputs, plus an illuminated display all help to save time during configuration and diagnostics and reduce engineering costs.
In the field of drive technology, the automation company will be presenting safe, energy-efficient solutions – from the implementation of safe drive functions and the use of energy-efficient servo technology to open interfaces and dynamic motion control functionalities. New to the portfolio are the servo motors PMCtendo SZ. Thanks to their high efficiency factor, the operation of these motors is particularly energy-saving.
Simple solutions to meet every requirement
With the automation system PSS 4000, for example, Pilz can satisfy the requirement for simple operation, even on complex automation solutions: With the corresponding Editors PAS STL and PAS IL, for the first time, even standardised PLC programming languages meet the requirements for safety-related user software.
Pilz also provides support with a comprehensive range of services, which includes consulting, engineering and training over the whole machine lifecycle. In Nuremberg, Pilz experts will be on hand to explain both the demands and the opportunities resulting from the Machinery Directive.
