The first magnetic incremental encoder now programmable!
Baumer: Keeping the configuration variety down to a minimum is one major user requirement. For the first time, by programmable EcoMag BRIx 58 also incremental magnetic encoders are up to this demand.
The benefits are quite obvious: Cost reduction by less inventory, no lead times and optional re-configuration for multiple use. Besides the impulse number, also rotating direction and zero point blanking are programmable by the same configuration tool utilized by the optical incremental encoder series BHF/BHG HighRes. The wide impulse number range in conjunction with the well-proven EcoMag ruggedness round the package off. Encoders in the EcoMag series convince by ultra-high efficiency and long service life. The magnetic sensing method less any breakable optical components opens up applications where conventional encoders fail. EcoMag series comprises configurations sized from 30 to 58 mm and a big shaft variety.
