Extended range of EX sensors

CML 700i measuring light curtains and MLC 500 type 4 safety light curtains can now be used as EX versions for special applications in potentially explosive areas.

The EX device variants of the light curtains for measurement tasks (CML) and work safety (MLC) have been certified for use in potentially explosive areas of group II, category 3, zone 2 (gas) and zone 22 (dust). The two model series round off Leuze electronic's range of EX sensors specifically intended for typical EX applications. Distance sensors, throughbeam photoelectric sensors, retro-reflective photoelectric sensors and scanners with and without background suppression have up to now been available. The stationary RFID reader RFM 32 SL 200, ideally suited to surface treatment applications (immersion baths, painting machines and drying plants), is available for RFID in EX zone 2.
