SpiderScan – New versions, different resolutions
Baumer Electric: Measuring light barriers from the SpiderScan series are already being successfully employed in a wide range of applications. SpiderScan is just the right measuring system wherever the height, width or profile of objects traveling at high speeds must be precisely detected with a high level of resolution (2,5 mm).
SpiderScan 082 is housed in a resilient, 82 mm wide metal housing and is therefore also well suited to applications in harsh environments. This housing design also features a new version with a resolution upgrade to 5 mm. Depending on the specific type in question, the measuring field length varies between 235 mm and 1675 mm. If still larger measuring field lengths are required, multiple systems can also be arrayed next to one another. The available option of synchronizing the various SpiderScan systems represents a very important alternative. Three different interfaces are available. Aside from the default, serial RS 422 port implementation, an additional SSI or parallel port are also available optionally.
Two interesting versions have been added to the product line for those applications where reduced resolution is adequate. The ultra-compact SpiderScan 012 now also offers 10 mm or 50 mm resolutions. For both resolution levels the available measuring fields lie between 150 mm and 1590 mm. Aside from the serial port, alternate versions are also available with an analog port. The new light barrier versions in the SpiderScan Series from Baumer ensure that you will find the right solution for your specific application.
