Conceived for railed vehicles: Pressure indicator DND4 monitors the brake system
Bearing in mind the specific requirements of railway applications, digital pressure indicator DND4 by Baumer is particularly conceived for deployment at railed vehicles. In the proven design of 80mm in diameter, DND4 reliably provides the driver in the cab with information on the brake system pressure within the range from 0 to 12 bar.
Using one or two electrical inputs (4…20 mA), a pressure transmitter, for example EF6 by Baumer, will transform the measured pressure value into an electric signal to be indicated by DND4. Saving all the troublesome effort and costs occurred by separate pressure lines to link the brake system to the driver’s cab, particularly long trains provide a substantial savings potential here.
As an option, this technology allows the customer to zoom the scaling of the brake-relevant pressure range from 3 to 5 bar to ensure optimum readability and clarity to the driver. DND4 provides adjustable backlight, is compliant to railway standard EN 50155 and reliably protected against shocks and vibration.
