Powerful sensors – versatile application

Powerful sensors – versatile application

19 December 2012

The new photoelectric sensors of the 28 series from Leuze electronic are equipped with many technical highlights, but they are characterized in particular by a sophisticated mounting concept.

Leuze electronic: The sturdy, fiber-reinforced plastic housing with protection class IP 67 makes it possible to attach screw fittings into through holes in the sides. Integrated pockets serve as anti-rotation protection for the M3 nuts for this purpose. In addition, "the sensor people" have equipped the housing with an M18 thread both in the front and on the bottom. A nut included in the delivery contents is sufficient for frontal or standing M18 hole mounting. With the help of a support from the Leuze electronic range of accessories, the sensors can also be mounted on rods. These diverse fastening options enable the user to mount the system quickly and easily for all types of application possibilities. In addition, high performance reserves and the A²LS active suppression of extraneous light make for particularly reliable detection in difficult industrial conditions – even at extreme temperatures of down to -40 °C. The simple alignment via the highly visible brightVision® light spot, an LED status display (yellow/green), two complementary switching outputs for light and dark switching operation as well as an attractive price/performance ratio round out the profile of the 28 series.
