Integrating weighing technology in CC-Link systems

HBM: Integration into higher-level control environments is frequently necessary in industrial weighing applications – for example in dosing or filling machines.

The weighing components must have various interfaces available, for instance to fieldbuses, depending on the architecture of this higher-level control system.

In order to realize applications that can also work with the fieldbus CC-Link, HBM is now offering a CC-Link Gateway for its digital FIT load cells and AED digital transducer electronics. CC-Link is a fieldbus originally developed by Mitsubishi Electric and is widely used, primarily in the Asian region.

The CC-Link Gateway from HBM has passed the conformity test specified by the CLPA (CC-Link Partner Association) so it works reliably and safely in CC-Link fieldbus operations.

The new Gateway also means that the digital weighing technology from HBM can be very easily integrated in applications that are automated with Mitsubishi PLC's. The user profits here from the advantages of digital weighing technology such as simpler internal data flows, faster and more accurate filling, as well as cost reduction.
