Cost Effective Measuring Wheel System RoaDyn® BaseLine
The familiar RoaDyn P103/P106 torque measuring wheels from Kistler are now available as BaseLine models. With the matching measuring chain the system has all the quality attributes of the proven PremiumLine models appreciated for their modularity. The RoaDyn BaseLine models offer a cost-effective entry point into torque measuring wheel technology in return for reduced functionality.
They allow the user to exploit all the features of piezoelectric measurement. The measuring wheel can be switched to a partial range with a factor of 10. This allows braking tests at the limits with very high torques and coast down tests with extremely small residual torques to be performed with equal ease. By contrast with the PremiumLine, these models have no additional temperature inputs for type K thermocouples and no connections for additional sensors on the rotating side of the slip ring. Measurements of the angle of rotation in the BaseLine slip ring are not possible.
Kistler has ensured that the BaseLine models are compatible with the existing PremiumLine. As a result, it will be possible to upgrade to slip ring transmission with enhanced functionality or to wireless signal transmission at any stage in the future.
As the measuring accuracy and reliability of the RoaDyn P103/P106 BaseLine are no less impressive than the tried and tested PremiumLine, the user can benefit from the fact that the new models represent particularly good value.
