Accelerometers for low-power applications

Accelerometers for low-power applications

10 February 2022
The ASC ECO series features low power consumption and a compact design

They are extremely robust, very flat and low current consumption: The new ASC ECO-x311 capacitive based accelerometers were specially developed for cost-efficient and battery-powererd applications with limited installation space.

The new inertial sensors from ASC meet the demands of numerous industrial measuring applications. For these applications, the ASC ECO series features an analog, differential voltage output (±2.4 V FSO) for measuring ranges from ±2 g to ±40 g and a frequency response range (±5 %) from DC to 1 kHz. The ASC ECO-x311 from ASC is an ideal cost-efficient and high-performance alternative to the standard low noise or medium frequency sensors, which provide a level of performance that is not required by all applications.

An outstanding feature of the ASC ECO series is the low power consumption of <250 µA in continuous operation. This makes the accelerometers ideal for mobile, battery-powered applications such as automated guided vehicles (AGV) or remote operated vehicles (ROV). The very flat design of the ASC ECO-x311 also allows fast and easy installation even in hard-to-access spaces. They are therefore predestined for use in condition monitoring of machines, systems, infrastructures or vehicles.

ASC provides its customers not with single sensors, but rather with custom tailored solutions for their application. That is why the ASC ECO-x311 capacitive accelerometers are available in a uniaxial, biaxial or triaxial version, and can be custom tailored to individual requirements even in lot size one.
