All-purpose devices for gas flow measurement
SONOTEC expanded the measuring range of their in-line sensors of the Sonoair series. This is the supplier’s response to the increasing requirements of the industry. With this improvement the sensors are now suitable for a wider range of applications in industrial sectors with high compressed air consumption – such as the plastics and packaging industry or the glass production sector.
As of now the following measurement ranges apply to the Sonoair in-line sensors:
- SONOAIR IL15: 0…60 m3n/hr (up to now 0…30 m3n/hr)
- SONOAIR IL25: 0…200 m3n/hr (up to now 0…120 m3n/hr)
- SONOAIR IL50: 0…1.000 m3n/hr (up to now 0…750 m3n/hr)
Hence, the measuring solution for pipes with diameters from 1/2”, 1” and 2” is suitable for even a wider range of applications. The in-line sensors are easy to install, supplied with the complete inlet and outlet pipe parts and allow – like all the sensors of the Sonoair series – precise measurements of compressed air consumption, flow monitoring and the testing of pneumatic systems. For all flow meters the processing of measurement data is carried out either via industry-standard interfaces or via a computer.
Alternatively the measurement data can be stored and processed via an integrated data logger or a standard memory card. Particularly for this external use of the measurement data Sonotec offers software which allows a comprehensive process monitoring using the collected data and supports the user when setting the sensor as well as when adapting the measuring technique to specific measuring tasks
The Sonoair series:
- SONOAIR IL: The compact in-line flow measurement system – easy to install and to use
- SONOAIR IP: The insertion probe for pipes with diameters from 50 to 400 millimetres for a mobile and permanent measurement of compressed air consumption
- SONOAIR MIP: The multi-function device for a simultaneous measurement of flow, pressure and temperature; it has an integrated display with keypad and a built-in data logger. This sensor can also be applied for bi-directional flow measurements.
