Baumer expands online offerings: new website and social media for target-oriented customer communications
The Baumer Group is expanding its customer communications with an online offensive. The manufacturer of sensors, encoders, measuring instruments as well as components for automated image processing has completely rebuilt, expanded and internationalized its website www.baumer.com. In addition Baumer provides information about news items, product solutions and current developments through various social media channels.
"By expanding and reorganizing our online communications, we can support the international growth of the Baumer Group and ensure modern and efficient exchange of information with our customers all over the world," points out Christian Adolph, Head of Group Marketing. To meet changing internal and external requirements, Baumer basically modernized the design, revised the product selection, considerably improved user friendliness and implemented a new navigation structure featuring a clear and detailed presentation of its extensive portfolio of sensors, encoders, measuring instruments and industrial cameras.
The increased integration of Web 2.0 content, additional downloads and easier contact methods will make the Baumer website even more attractive. Last but not least, the new newsroom pools all the latest information from the various Baumer communication channels and provides it on one platform geared towards specific target groups.
"Particularly in the social media channels we see tremendous potential for expanding the Baumer online offerings with a focus on specific target groups," Christian Adolph says.
