Carbon in Fly-Ash Monitor

BERTHOLD Technologies GmbH & Co. KG: The Berthold analyzer Micro-Polar Moist LB 568 provides an accurate and reliable online measurement of the carbon content in fly ash. The real-time information about the proportion of unburnt ash can be used to improve the combustion rate and boiler efficiency. The state-of-the-art analyzer is installed on a high-temperature resistant measurement chute below the electrostatic filters. The fly ash measurement is carried out by means of microwaves, which are highly sensitive to the carbon particles in the fly ash. Varying bulk densities can be compensated using radiometric technology.
