Cost-effective infrared camera with microscope optics
optris Xi 400 equipped for the electronics industry
In time for the electronica 2018 trade fair, Optris was introducing an additional infrared camera in their new Compact Line onto the market. The optris Xi 400 camera has been equipped with a microscope optics as well as a tripod suitable to meet the requirements of the electronics industry. The set costs a little over 2000 euros. “The set complements the microscope cameras in our Precision Line and its price-performance ratio is currently unrivalled”, says Dipl.-Ing. Torsten Czech, Head of Product Management at Optris, happy to inform us about the extension of the product range.
Good resolution and tiny measuring spot with a high frame rate
“The technical data of the optris Xi 400 with a microscope optics should make every electronics developer sit up and take notice”, Torsten Czech recommends. With a resolution of 382 x 288 pixels, the infrared camera measures temperatures from -20 °C to 900 °C. However, the key point is the excellent value of the tiny measuring spot: From a distance of 90 mm, objects of only 240 µm can be reliably measured at a frame rate of 80 Hz. The measurement device is also supplied with the license-free PIX Connect software which not only generates a conventional radiometric image, but also a radiometric video.
Wide range of choice for the electronics industry
The new optris Xi 400 that Optris is introducing is a great alternative for novices alongside the two high quality infrared cameras in the Precision Line with a microscopic lens and various pyrometers. The Xi 400 is supplied in a set with a special tripod as well as the PIX Connect professional software. In the introductory phase, the complete set costs 2070 euros.
