Enthusiasm for technical professions
At this year's Girl's Day, Leuze electronic offered girls and young women insight into various technical professions.
Owen, March 28, 2019 – On March 28, girls and young women once again had the opportunity to explore various professions in the field of electronic technology at Leuze electronic within the scope of Girl's Day 2019. Among other things, participants tried soldering, where they discovered that some activities require a delicate touch. Leuze electronic has participated in Girl's Day for a number of years with the goal of offering girls in grades 5 to 10 in particular insight into a technical work environment. "Even today, technical professions are not viewed as 'typically female.' We want to break down this stereotype and generate enthusiasm for technical occupations in girls and young women as well," explains Carina Maier, who is responsible for training at Leuze electronic. The company provides training in the the occupations "Electronics technician for devices and systems (m, f, x)", "Specialist for warehouse logistics (m, f, x)", "Industrial clerks with additional qualification International Business Management with Foreign Languages". Furthermore, dual courses of study are offered for Bachelor of Engineering – Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics and Computer Science. The application phase for 2020 has already started.
