Further RFID products, now also in the UHF range
Leuze electronic, the specialist for industrial identification technology, is extending its RFID product range to include additional stationary and mobile read/write systems which, thanks to the UHF range, are predestined for intralogistics applications.
The new devices in the frequency range from 0.3 to 3 GHz (UHF) permit wider ranges and hence allow new applications requiring high reading ranges to be performed. This is particularly the case in intralogistics, e.g. for stacker detection, loading gate assignment and in load carrier management. From the point of view of both design and business economics, UHF devices are also of interest in the single-use field, e.g. for pallet tracking.
For ranges up to 1.5 m and reading speeds up to 6 m/s, the compact RFU61SL100 read/write system is the first choice, while for ranges up to 5 m and reading speeds up to 10 m/s, the RFU81SL100 is the best fit. These stationary devices can be immediately used in a wide range of applications with their factory settings, or can be very easily adapted by configuring via the PLC using character strings.
In the mobile RFID range, the user can choose from combined 1D/2D and UHF devices. With these extensions to the stationary and mobile read/write systems and the corresponding choice of transponder, Leuze electronic is further underpinning its strong position in identification technology. All the devices support the EPC1Gen2 standard and, with their corresponding connector units, offer high flexibility for networking.
RS232 interfaces are available for stand-alone stations, and with a view to field bus-based networking, interfaces for Ethernet, Profibus, Profinet, Interbus or multinet are available. During the course of the year, further products will follow which also support the versatile networking possibilities
