MT9 upgrade action

The Inertial Measurement Unit MT9 has successfully been replaced by its successors MTi and MTx in 2005.

As a service to our customers, Xsens now offers the possibility to trade in your MT6-A, MT6-B, MT9-A and MT9-B units and receive a 50% discount on a new MTi or MTx if you place your order before October 31, 2006.

The advantages of the new units are:

• Embedded calculation (on a low-power DSP) and direct output of 3D orientation (attitude and heading) and calibrated inertial and magnetic data on RS-232/422/485 (options available)
• Improved housing and connector:
  - The MTi is easy to align and fasten and has a tougher connector, optimized for use in vehicles and robots
  - The MTx is the smallest and lightest version, optimized for human motion measurement
• Increased pitch and roll accuracy of 0.5 degree and repeatability
• A cable with integrated RS-232 to USB converter is available that also supplies power over USB
• Advanced synchronization features (sync with camera, GPS, etc.) 16 bit AUX analog IN pin available
• New SDK with included C++ source code for communication protocol (integrate on any platform)
• All settings and configuration stored in onboard flash memory
