Sonardyne agreement signed
Xsens has signed an OEM supply and distribution agreement with UK based Sonardyne, to supply the inertial technology for RADIAN. RADIAN is a miniature Attitude and Heading Reference System, optimized for use sub-sea or at sea level.
Supplied within an underwater pressure housing (500m depth rating) and accepting a wide range of input voltages, Radian can be mounted anywhere on vessels, ROVs, AUVs and structures. Radian is compatible with Sonardyne's Scout USBL subsea positioning system.
Sonardyne prefers Xsens’ inertial technology because of the excellent price performance ratio and the high quality of Xsens’ products. Simon Partridge, Engineering Director at Sonardyne: “The MTi has proven to be a reliable measurement instrument”. Xsens cooperates with Sonardyne because of its world leading position in underwater equipment and its international sales and support network.
Established in 1971, Sonardyne is an international group of companies manufacturing subsea instrumentation. It is specialized in the use of sonar for underwater navigation, positioning, data communication and control.
