New evaluation unit for capacitive mini-sensors
Full access to all functions via IO-Link
Balluff: When it comes to reliable object and fill-level detection, BCS capacitive mini-sensors from Balluff offer maximum application reliability. Thanks to their compact dimensions, they can be used even in the smallest of spaces since they are conveniently calibrated using a detached evaluation unit. A new evaluation unit with IO-Link interface and display offers numerous new possibilities. It is designed for DIN rail mounting and convinces with many new features. With IO-Link, the user has full access to all functions.
He can, for example, freely select output functions such as PNP/NPN, NO/NC contact, etc., and have the signal output from 0-10 V or 4-20 mA at the analog output. The switch point can be taught and triggered and the delay times can be freely selected. Moreover, the device offers dynamic object detection and a two-point control via an adjustable hysteresis.
The new amplifier is also available in a convenient version without IO-Link interface. The user can then internally toggle the output between switching and analog (4-20 mA or 0-10 V). An external trigger cable is also available.
The range of BCS capacitive mini-sensors from Balluff comprises 30 different versions, including compact styles with diameters from 4 mm as well as disc designs and flush and non-flush versions. In addition, all passive high-temperature and/or high-pressure sensor heads can be connected.
Balluff is thereby the first manufacturer to offer an entire series of capacitive IO-Link sensors. The mini-sensors – available with pigtail and cable connection – are ideal for use in the detection of small parts and wherever space is tight.
