New high-performance laser scanners
The new scanCONTROL 30xx laser scanners offer the highest performance and are used for high speed and precise 2D/3D measurement tasks. These compact and lightweight profile sensors are equipped with the High Dynamic Range mode intended for measurements on inhomogeneous surfaces. In addition, the user can freely select different operating modes for individual requirements.
The scanCONTROL 30xx laser profile scanners from Micro-Epsilon combine state-of-the-art technology, the highest performance and a large range of potential applications. Even on demanding surfaces, they provide high precision results and are used for dynamic 2D/3D profile measurements in automation, production and process monitoring, as well as quality control. With around 5.5 million points per second while detecting up to 2048 measuring positions per profile, they provide both accurate results and calibrated profile data. The scanners are available with measuring ranges of 25 mm and 50 mm.
High dynamic range mode
The combination of their High Dynamic Range mode and enhanced auto exposure enables the scanCONTROL 30xx laser scanners to provide extremely precise results on inhomogeneous and dark surfaces. The different exposures are performed simultaneously which is why even moving objects are detected reliably.
Output of measurement values via Gateway
The scanCONTROL Gateway enables measurement values to be transmitted via different interfaces such as Ethernet, PROFINET, EtherNet/IP or EtherCAT.
Blue Laser Technology
In addition to the red standard laser, Blue Laser Technology is available for measurements on demanding surfaces. Micro-Epsilon holds a patent for measurements with blue lasers on red-hot glowing objects exceeding 700 °C and (semi-)transparent objects. Transparent objects include plastics, glass, adhesives, silicones, paints, coatings, Plexiglas and seals. For many measurement objects, Blue Laser scanners offer crucial advantages compared to sensors with a red laser diode. Onto organic, glowing materials or semi-transparent objects, the blue laser line is sharply imaged which enables stable and precise results.
