Non-invasive SONOFLOW | Flow Sensors and SONOFLOW | C³ Software: The user-friendly smart sensoring package for application in laboratory 4.0, R&D, and single-use production environments
SONOTEC: With the influence of digitization and increasing needs for process monitoring, laboratory, R&D, and single-use production environments are changing rapidly. Networked laboratory devices with smart functions, automation concepts, and efficient interface solutions have altered laboratory workflows and stand for the new era of Lab 4.0. Therefore, a rising tide of the continuous availability of data requires an easy data handling and secure data logging.
Non-invasive flowmeters are the most compact, flexible, and user-friendly option to provide fast and instantaneous flow readings, volume totalizing, and to start/stop volume dosing on flexible tubings. As a modern sensor design boasts an integrated analysis unit, there is no need for a separate and unwieldy electronics box. Thanks to their lightweight and small size, the sensors can be easily fixed almost everywhere and can also be left unmounted. As the most innovative non-invasive flow sensors utilize ultrasound, they do not produce heat or high acoustic output that can harm cells in the fluids. In addition, there are no moving parts which are in contact with the cells causing shear stress or other damages.
In active R&D and laboratory practice, non-invasive flow sensors demonstrate a number of benefits over scales. Once calibrated application-specifically, the sensors provide highly accurate and precise readings and are largely insensitive to outer influences such as vibrations and air airflow caused from air conditions. Also, unlike scales, the sensor cannot be bumped out of calibration.
Configure | Control | Collect … or simply said: SONOFLOW | C³ Software
SONOTEC is the first sensor manufacturer offering a complete package of clamp-on flow sensors and a comprehensive software for lab, R&D & single-use applications. The sensors are plug & play devices and can be operated with an AC adapter to easily plug into a wall outlet or to be simply used with a battery pack with a minimum of 12 VDC. The smallest sensor of the SONOFLOW family for a tubing OD of 5/32″ can handle flow rates as low as 5 to 7 ml/min. Overall, sensor gradations include 13 different sizes ranging up to operate 1 3/8″ OD tubings with flow rates of 140 000 ml/min.
SONOFLOW C³ Software constitutes a milestone in smart sensoring and assures a straightforward application of all SONOFLOW & SEMIFLOW sensors providing user-friendly sensor operation and adjustment features. Under its flag SONFLOW | C³ Software: Configure | Control | Collect, the software is intended to configure sensors for specific applications, to control sensor performance & outputs, and to collect measurement and sensor data. In this way, R&D & process engineers, and lab staff can connect up to twelve sensors, monitor real-time flow & totalize volumes, logging data with auto save function, setting sensor outputs/inputs, and adjust the sensor to their specific fluids or applications such as sensor parametrizing, offset, and correction factor settings.
