Robust laser distance sensors for outdoor use
The new optoNCDT ILR1171-125 laser distance sensor is used for distance measurements up to 270 m and particularly impresses in outdoor measurements. Thanks to the time-of-flight principle and a high measuring rate of up to 40 kHz, this robust sensor achieves a high signal strength and thus delivers stable and precise results even in fog and rain. The high temperature stability allows applications at temperatures from -40 °C to +60 °C. Due to its compact dimensions, the sensor can also be integrated into confined installation spaces.
The optoNCDT ILR1171-125 laser distance sensor is designed for outdoor use. It measures 20x faster than its predecessor. Due to the laser time-of-flight principle with infrared light and a measuring rate of up to 40 kHz, high energy pulses are achieved, allowing stable measurements with very good signal quality. Even in poor visibility conditions such as fog and rain, the sensor offers high accuracy. The resistance to ambient light is 50,000 lux.
A robust IP67 aluminum housing protects the sensor, which also delivers reliable results in a temperature range of -40 to +60 °C. Due to its extremely compact design, the sensor can be installed even when space is at a premium.
Fields of application include distance measurements for structural monitoring, cranes and wind turbines. The measuring range is 125 m, an extension to 270 m is possible by means of a reflector.
